We made our way northwards along the coast of Georgia and South Carolina until we got to Myrtle Beach State Park (https://southcarolinaparks.com/myrtle-beach.)

The site was great! The beach (Atlantic Ocean beach) was a couple hundred yards away. The campgrounds were not crowded (yet) with many people coming and going while we were there.

Lexie enjoyed (enjoyed!) walking along the sandy beach. She wasn’t afraid of the waves or water, she just avoided them. Vicki also liked the waves and water, but wasn’t ready to get wet. V: ocean is still pretty cold this far north just into March.

Vick and Steve had a dinner at the Lobster House. The food was good, even though the decor was kitschy. The place was not busy, but then we were there a couple of weeks before their season starts.

We also played nine holes of golf at nearby Prestwick Country Club.

We finally enjoyed a campfire in the evening. V: FL was in a pretty severe drought so we really missed the campfires. And the full moon was so gorgeous.

Vicki definitely says we should visit Myrtle Beach again, and stay more than two nights! V: I could have done a week at this state park right on the beautiful beach.
