2025 July 2 and 3: Joe Galecki celebrates a milestone birthday

Definitely a family celebration: all of Joe’s children and their spouses were celebrating in Beach Cove Pl. We even had Steve Cibor, Nancy and Joe Siko attend.

Mom/Babcia had lots of food ready for us on Wednesday night.
There were enough deviled eggs for everyone. And of course, shrimp with cocktail sauce, nuts and chips. Dad/DziaDzia provided the drinks. He even had a bottle of Jameson for his oldest.

The family was scattered at night. Steven, Dennis, Vicki and Margaret stayed with Mom and Dad. Jeanne and Bob spend the night with Cynthia and her cats. Greg, Barb and Steve were in a hotel room near the airport. But we all gathered again on July 3 at Beach Bully’s to continue a long tradition of having barbecue while in Virginia Beach.

July 3 Lunch at Beach Bully: before the food

Greg (with help from Barb, Dennis and Margaret) put druncle lyrics to the tune of “She wore a yellow ribbon”. While we practiced a few times before the actual performance, it was still typical druncle harmonies. And Dad had Greg read the words to him afterwards.

The words to the song are below:

Dad received a couple of very nice personalized gifts:

Bob, Jeanne, Dennis and Margaret prepared dinner that evening: sous vide steaks that were finished with a quick sear on the grill. They were fantastic. We sang the traditional birthday songs to Dad afterwards and all had strawberry shortcake for dessert.

A very special 90th birthday for Joe/Dad. He enjoyed every minute being surrounded by his family: his adult children (Steven, Dennis, Greg, Cynthia, Jeanne), their mates (Vicki, Margaret, Barbara, Pete:dec.,Bob),Christine (Babcia)his wife, and Steve Cibor our wannabe Galecki son. This special day went bye so fast. The group arrived by plane, and by car (driving 10-12 hours).
We are so blessed to have such a loving family and gathering.
